A friend of mine had been going on and on about the cheesecake here so I decided to have an early dinner here. The waiters (2 of them) had no clue what the dishes in the menu entailed. They also had no idea what was available. I wanted to have an eel based dish and was told it was available. As they did not know how it was prepared, I requested that they ask the chef how it was prepared. They then came back to tell me it was not available. They however assured me that everything else was available. They then came back to tell me my second choice was also not available. The waiter made it worse by explaining the fact that "these" japense people do not communicate properly. Was that supposed to make me understanding? Why should that information be given to a customer? The meals we eventually ordered arrived after about an hour despite the fact that we were assured the waiting time was definitely a maximum of 15 minutes. The pineapple cocktail was poorly prepared in my opinion. The only highlight was Jeff at the bar who was really nice when I told him my experience with "sake" and how I wanted to have it. The quality of the food was ok. I did not bother to have the cheesecake.
